These leaves that are cultivated in the northernmost high mountain tea growing region on Taiwan offer a substantial brew with a smooth mouthfeel that is more commonly found in high mountain tea grown at closer to 2000m elevation. We can only surmise that it is the colder climate further north that makes it more akin to a Li Shan or He Huan Shan high elevation tea in its character. This hardier stock is visibly recognizable in the texture of the brewed leaves. There is a thickness and more substantial constitution to the appearance of the leaves that were processed with care and finesse.

We are going for it with our direct experience of this tea that captivated us upon first tasting and has continued to do so. Going for it in the sense that we feel it really does offer a spectrum of aromatic notes and flavor qualities that include floral, herbal, fruity and pastry. We acknowledge that this description basically covers the spectrum in this category of tea, but we can't hold back! We honestly experience it all in the careful slow process of brewing a pot of this tea gongfu style. We hope you share our experience in some form or another!
