Batch 127 La La Shan High Mountain Oolong Tea Tasting Notes | Eco-Cha Tea Club

Batch 127 of the Eco-Cha Tea Club is a La La Shan High Mountain Oolong Tea spring 2026 harvest. For the background story on this tea check our sourcing blogpost. This spring batch of tea is a satisfying balance of floral, and fruity and pastry qualities that keep you raising your cup for as long as the tea is being poured!

These leaves that are cultivated in the northernmost high mountain tea growing region on Taiwan offer a substantial brew with a smooth mouthfeel that is more commonly found in high mountain tea grown at closer to 2000m elevation. We can only surmise that it is the colder climate further north that makes it more akin to a Li Shan or He Huan Shan high elevation tea in its character. This hardier stock is visibly recognizable in the texture of the brewed leaves. There is a thickness and more substantial constitution to the appearance of the leaves that were processed with care and finesse.
